A collage of my own and my grandfathers time in the Marines. I like this picture, and would take it with me because It’s a symbol of heritage, of time passed. A symbol that even though my grandfather died, and several Marines died before him, that the tradition of doing whatever it takes to survive and get the job done has been echoed through generations since 1775. This picture would remind me not to sulk, not to give up hope, not to give in to defeat, and not to lose myself while in Exile. Where the pictures of my family would remind me what was important, the picture of the Eagle Globe and Anchor would remind me that anything is possible. And if I can’t find a way through a tough spot, you can bet your ass I will make one.
